On July 5th 1981 after two days of disturbances, Toxteth in Liverpool erupted into the worst urban violence ever seen on Mainland Britian.

What was to blame?

Youth unemployment with no hope on the horizon, a bully boy racist police force led by 'Sir' Kenneth Oxford and also the actions of a Tory government who had come to power a couple of years before.
