Adidas SL72

First released in 1971, the SL72 (Super Light 72) was adidas’ first nylon jogging shoe. although it was intended for the US running market it was sold worldwide. the shoe was made on a narrow last and features a running version of a Sagerprofil sole. the midsole was elevated for comfort and shock absorption, with the outsole sweeping up at the rear to reduce strain on the Achilles.

An earlier version with Ghilly lacing also exists.
