The band Electronic was formed by Bernard Sumner (of New Order) and Johnny Marr (of The Smiths) in 1989. They aimed to create a more electronic style of music, blending synthesizers with guitars and rock with contemporary dance music. Their debut single was called "Getting Away with It". This mash up is also a nod to New Order’s track ‘ Fine Time’ which according to Bernard Sumner, the band first wrote after a night at the Amnesia nightclub in Ibiza.
